One Sentence Review: The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)

Despite showing initial promise The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) gradually devolves into an illogical, unsatisfying diatribe which is neither insightful nor entertaining.

1/3 - Although I'm still curious about the original. But for the remake? Gort! Klaatu Barada Nikto!

Keanu Reeves+Will Smith's kid+remake of a classic movie but now focusing on CGI...

Where did this show initial promise again Ian?

Oh hey, I start at Carleton on Monday, if you're still working at the bookstore/going there we'll meet up ya?

I thought the first half hour showed promise, like it might go somewhere interesting. Then, predictably, it didn't.

I'm still at both the bookstore and Carleton, so we should meet up for sure. Haven Books, 43 Seneca St. It's the place to buy your books. Hell, if you e-mail me your course list I can probably set your books aside for you today, until you can pick them up.

No, that's ok, but thanks. I'll be in there regardless though.
