And that's why I don't care about Canadian politics. We don't matter.

On the world stage we don't really matter, no, but our PM does affect our country.

Yes, but it seems like other countries in the world affect our country more than we do. You know? Or at the very least, they're changing the world at large, while we are not.

In as much as we have a conservative government that is all "Hey, we need to be more like Republican America" absolutely. And definitely the US plays a bigger part on the world stage. I think we should just agree to disagree about voting here in the last election. Hopefully next time the candidates here will do a better job of capturing our imagination.

I hope so.

Furthermore, it's not that I don't care about Canada or its elections, or how my country is run, it's that I don't care about following it, or reading up on the latest news. IS that different? I think so...

I mean, crazy science and tech stuff is happening in Asia, the social and political climate in Europe is interesting, and American is one big clusterfuck of great issues.

And what's going on in Canada? Some bus driver drove off with some kid, a cat got saved from a tree, Stephen Harper is still a wiener, etc.

Unrelated to the content of the video, but more on the style of it...
Man I just want more Ze. That's all I could see even from just the still frame.
Assuming that you were going for that affect (I'm putting this disclaimer in because Ihaven't slept all night), good job! Because it was damned apparent/effective.
And it got me all nostalgic in my crazy sleepless state.

As far as I'm concerned The Show with Ze Frank set the bar for video blogging. So it's an influence, yeah. Hoping something separate will grow out of it eventually, but for now, The Show, yeah.
